They built a 60 mph slip and slide in the middle of a river. Then someone decided to attempt four backflips.
The Sickos crew is back with what they call the world’s biggest slip and slide, and this year’s setup is more extreme than ever.
The team begins by digging a massive sand trench and creating an extra-long runway with tarps, water, and biodegradable soap. A jet ski pulls each rider toward a series of custom-built ramps at terrifying speeds.
First up is the Twisted Tea ramp. It may look small from a distance, but its steep shape is designed to launch riders upward and force them into fast rotations.
Forest draws the short straw and becomes the first person to test it. His run immediately proves just how powerful the new setup is. From there, the crew takes turns launching into doubles, wild layouts, painful back slaps, and some seriously rough landings.
Then Sam steps up.
After becoming known as Turtle Back Sam during his first year and landing a double backflip the following year, he finally completes the triple. The landing is not exactly gentle, but the milestone still sends the entire crew into celebration.
The biggest moment comes when Will attempts the trick he has been chasing for six years. He hits the ramp, stays straight, completes four full rotations, and lands his first-ever quad backflip.
But the chaos is not finished.
The crew brings out Big Red, a taller and steeper ramp that riders approach at around 60 mph. Then they replace the usual circular tube with a snow kayak, despite having no idea how it will react on the ramp.
What begins as an oversized backyard-style slip and slide quickly becomes a full-scale stunt spectacle packed with huge breakthroughs, brutal crashes, and increasingly ridiculous ideas.
