Worldwide Winter Activities For The Active Adventurer

We know…it’s cold outside. Sometimes, when it’s so cold, it really dampens the mood to do anything. But don’t let the winter months keep you from finding fun and new things to do. Perhaps you take this time to travel a little bit, or venture out and see what you can make of the snow and cold.

1. Cross country skiing (in Estonia): you can start in the capital city of Talinn, and then head to the skiing town of Otepaa when you’re ready to hit the slopes.
2. Bieg Piastow ski marathon (in Poland): this is a 9 day skiing event.
3. Swedish Lapland Activity Week: the Baltic Sea is the place to be to ice fish or snowmobile.
4. Finnish dogsledding: venture through the winter snow in Europe’s cleanest air.
5. Winter walking (in Austria): Tyrol, Austria is the place to be for a picture-esc winter walk through villages.
5. Snowshoeing (in France): Chamonix, France boasts some of the best scenery for snowshoeing fans.
