The new animation live-action crossover movie will feature the Goon Squad’s return to play against the Tunes Squad with basketball star cameos including Klay Thompson, Diana Taurasi, Anthony Davis, Nneka Ogwumike, Dame Lillard, and more. LeBron James will be playing himself in the new movie with the role of a pressuring father wanting his son, Dom, to follow his NBA legacy when his son wants to forge his own path to find his own passion.
The father and son enter an elevator to exit a mysterious floor that seems to be a server room but is actually a gateway that transports them to the ServerVerse. Don Cheadle will be joining the cast as the master of the ServerVerse and challenges James to basketball in Tune World also known as the land of Looney Tunes.
Cheadle transports James to Tune World where he is transformed into a cartoon and greeted by the leading Looney Tune, Bugs Bunny. James works with Bugs to assemble an elite team of tunes to help get his son back and bringing the old gang back together for another adventure.

The ServerVerse master brings together characters from iconic movies and cartoons to join for the biggest basketball game in ServerVerse history. All the characters in the movie will receive updated makeovers compared to the original movie but cameo basketball stars playing on the Goon Squad will get a superpower animation makeover for new dynamic characters for this long-standing franchise.
The new movie is directed by Malcolm D Lee working alongside writers including Keenan Coogler, Juel Taylor, Tony Rettenmaier, and Terence Nance. Warner Animation Group under Warner Bros. will be releasing “Space Jam: A New Legacy” this summer on July 16.
