The Latest Scandal In The Beauty Community Erupts
Another beauty YouTuber has come under fire for selling bad products. Just following the James Charles vs. Tati Westbrook drama, beauty influencer Jaclyn debuted her independent makeup line “Jaclyn,” but it was quickly shot down by accusations of putting out expired, moldy products.
Hill is known to be one of the most popular beauty YouTubers, with 6 million subscribers. Already well known for her Morphe eyeshadow palette, the 28-year-old is widely known more for her tutorials and makeup reviews.
However, the beauty community has been bashing Hill for her recent line of lipsticks, which claim to contain what appeared to mold and hair. Since the backlash, the beauty guru published a video addressing the accusations.
In the video, Hill said: “I’m not going to run away from this. I know it’s taken me a couple of days to get all my ducks in a row and get this video out to you guys, but I have been going through all the documentation, on the phone with labs, chemists, the owner of my lab and my entire team for several days to do a very in-depth investigation to figure out exactly what’s going on so I give you the most informed information.”
Hill went on to address all the accusations and explained the lipstick making and packing process.
