Last night at the US Women’s Gymnastics Championships, Simone Biles made history by becoming the first woman to land a triple-double in competition.

The move involves three full twists and two full flips before landing, and was executed on the first tumbling pass of her floor routine.

Prior to Biles, only two men have ever landed the manoeuvre in competition. If Biles can land the move again at the World Championships in Germany in October the move will be named after her.

Still only 22, Biles is already regarded as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time. She won five Olympic medals at the 2016 Summer Games in Rio (4 gold) and has her sights set on gold again at Tokyo 2020.
