A Prehistoric Shark Is Making A Comeback

There’s something brewing off of the Southern coast of Portugal…and it may make you reconsider hopping into the water.

Researchers recently found the stuff of nightmares. The Frilled Shark is back, and we are pretty certain it’s just to scare us all. According to BBC, this toothy tyrant has remains that date back 80 million years. No wonder why they call it a living fossil.

The 5-foot long shark has a head like a snake and body like an eel. It has 300 teeth that are arranged eerily, hence the name “frilled shark.” Other sightings of this ancient alien-looking shark have been near Norway, Scotland and The Canary Islands.
