Some viral products look so ridiculous, you assume they have to be fake.
But what happens when someone actually buys them and puts them to the test?
Sambucha did exactly that, testing a bunch of viral “clickbait” products to find out which ones actually work and which ones are just clever marketing.
And the results were surprisingly mixed.
A tiny mortar bottle opener? It worked almost TOO well.
Soap with real money hidden inside? Technically legit, but spending $16 to find a $1 bill inside is not exactly a winning investment.
An anti-gravity humidifier that looks like water is flowing upward? Somehow, it actually works.
Then there’s a $300 inflatable ironing machine that looks completely ridiculous, yet managed to remove wrinkles from a shirt in just a few minutes.
Other products didn’t survive the test.
The liquid chrome paint failed to create the mirror-like finish shown online. The “foot massage” board felt more like stepping on Legos. And those viral shoes that supposedly let you walk on water? That dream ended exactly how you’d expect.
That’s what makes the video fun.
Some products are obvious gimmicks. Some are wildly overhyped. And a few turn out to be much better than they have any right to be.
So, which viral products are actually worth the hype?
