DC Comics fans are excited for new superhero-themed resturant
Warner Bros. has shared the news that the first-ever themed restaurant dedicated to Batman, Superman and other DC Comics characters will premiere in London this spring.
Called Park Row, after the area in Gotham City, the restaurant will be 18,000 square feet and will be located inside the basement of an Art Deco building in London.
Promising to offer more than just a typical visit to a restaurant, Park Row will descend guests into an area designed to look and feel like the Batcave. There will be three bars and five different dining environments for guests to choose from.
One area called Pennyworth is named after Batman/Bruce Wayne’s butler, Alfred, and promises traditional British dishes in a sophisticated atmosphere. Old Gotham City is a villainous speakeasy area that will serve cocktails while an area dedicated to Harley Quinn will serve sushi.
But the largest of all the restaurants is the Penguin’s opulent Iceberg Lounge. Promising an international menu and live entertainment, the area will keep to the Art Deco scene in the design of its interior and floors, and there will be a circular central bar with a giant ice sculpture of a penguin sitting in the middle.
Prices start at an average of $58 (£45) per person.
In other news on the Caped Crusader, “Birds of Prey” starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn has been released in theaters, “Joker” won two Academy Awards, including the Best Actor gong for its star Joaquin Phoenix, and a Batman reboot starring Robert Pattinson as Batman Bruce Wayne has begun filming.
