Disney Bringing Another ‘Peter Pan’

Have you ever dreamed of flying to the “second star to the right, and straight on till morning?”

It’s clear to say that Disney’s live-action adaptions of its famous animated films are a huge hit. Some box office successes that have already taken the film industry by storm are “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin,” “The Jungle Book” and “The Lion King.”

Coming up is “Mulan,” “Maleficent” and “The Little Mermaid,” but one new title has reportedly been added to the line-up of live-action reimaginings. It has recently been reported that the studio is planning to bring the boy who never grows up back to the big screen.

“Peter Pan” has long been rumored to be the next project in development, and rightfully so seeing as the particular story has been made into numerous films in the past. Universal Pictures, Colombia Pictures, and Revolution Studio all teamed up for 2003’s live-action version of Peter Pan, but despite receiving positive reviews from critics, the movie didn’t do so well at the box office.

Even, “Pan,” which starred A-listers like Hugh Jackman, Rooney Mara, Amanda Seyfried, and Cara Delevingne, was a financial disaster. But past failures aren’t stopping Disney from trying their hand at remaking their 1953 classic.
