‘Star Wars’ is making some big changes
The rumors are true: Disney is going to reset “Star Wars” and write off the Sequel Trilogy—”The Force Awakens,” “Last Jedi,” and “Rise of Skywalker.” Kathleen Kennedy will also be gone by 2022.
According to Doomcock on YouTube, a Star Wars “civil war” has been ongoing within Lucasfilm between Kathleen Kennedy and loyal George Lucas fans. It was said that a plan is in place to reset Disney Star Wars and use a concept called “The Veil of The Force” to erase the Sequel Trilogy from canon by making them a part of a Star Wars Multiverse.
In other words, “The Force Awakens,” “Last Jedi,” and “Rise of Skywalker” will be their own universe and no longer a part of Star Wars moving forward. As Grace Randolph said, the movies will not be erased, but they will be ignored.
Head of LucasFilm, Kathleen Kennedy, will be stepping down and will not be pursuing an extension of her contract. It is unclear whether Kennedy is stepping down because of the former or because Disney will not renew her contract.
With “a new hope” for future “Star Wars” films, fans are excited to see where Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will take the series. When the Star Wars Celebration returns in 2022, there will be a new head of Lucasfilm established.
