Disney Working On More Live-Action Projects
The live-action remakes just keep on coming, don’t they! But this time around, a very unexpected film will be getting the special treatment.
Following the financial success of Disney’s most recent reboots, the studio has plans for churning out more over the coming years. One of those upcoming projects will reportedly be “The Great Mouse Detective.” According to various reports, much like “The Lion King,” the mice will still be animated while everything else will be live-action.
If you grew up watching the classic animated film, you will remember how original and fantastic The Great Mouse Detective was. But for those who are unfamiliar with the movie, For those unfamiliar, cartoon mystery film, released in 1986, is based on the children’s book series “Basil of Baker Street by Eve Titus,” about a heroic mouse named Basil who lives in Victorian London and is trying to solve a potentially deadly mystery.
The movie was met with widespread acclaim from critics and audiences alike when it was released, and it had a great impact on Disney’s animation department. Other than the above mentioned, further details about the film are largely unknown, but many are expecting a stellar cast to play the characters and are looking forward to seeing what Disney will do with the film.
