The larger-than-life paranormal monster form of the massive Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was featured for the first time in the original 1984 “Ghostbusters” movie and made a cameo in the latest franchise sequel in 2016 “Ghostbusters: Answer the Call.” In the new movie teaser, Paul Rudd is shopping in a grocery store when he notices a marshmallow bag moving on the counter and an adorable Mini-Puft man emerges from the bag.
Rudd attempts to tickle the belly to realize the cute Mini-Puft Marshmallow man isn’t friendly and bites his finger. As Rudd takes a look around the grocery store he notices more Mini-Puft marshmallow men causing chaos throughout the store.

Fans are already on the edge of their seats in anticipation of this new movie that will follow in the footsteps of the original “Ghostbusters” with new characters. The new movie will introduce new characters in the “Ghostbusters” universe with the plot featuring a single mom and her two children after they arrive in a small town.
Shortly after their arrival, they discover a connection to original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The new film is based on Ivan Reitman’s 1984 film written by Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd with the new script to be written by Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan.

Some members of the original cast will be returning to help with production including executive producer Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray is set to reprise his role of Dr. Peter Venkman. Murray was recently interviewed on the new project for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival complaining filming with the heavy paranormal-containing backpack known as the proton pack was painful but will be worth it in the name of the “Ghostbusters” franchise.
“Ghostbusters: Afterlife” will be produced by Ivan Reitman along with executive producers Jason Cloth, Gil Kenan, Aaron L. Gilbert, Jason Blumenfeld, and Michael Beugg. The new cast will star Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Ernie Hudson, Finn Wolfhard, Annie Potts, and Mckenna Grace.
