Fans have an idea for future Marvel films
It’s hard to say goodbye to one of our most beloved Marvel superheroes. Aside from giving fans an epic finale to the last decade of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Avengers: Endgame” also gave fans one of the final cameos of Stan Lee since the comic book legend passed away last November.
But fans don’t want the lighthearted tradition to end anytime soon. Stan Lee has had a cameo in every MCU film since 2008 in “Iron Man.” But his final cameo, as confirmed by Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, will be in the upcoming “Spider-Man: Far From Home.”
This has left many fans sad because the comic book legend who started it all will no longer be a part of future superhero films. Many want to continue to see the fun cameos in the upcoming MCU films and are now are looking for someone to take Lee’s place.
It just so happens that the events of “Avengers: Endgame” has produced a potential candidate that could take Lee’s place: Steve Rogers (aka Captain America).
For those who have already seen the film (and for those who still haven’t spoiler alert), at the end of “Avengers: Endgame,” Captain America chooses to go back in time after returning all the infinity stones to live out his life during the 1940s. This ends the film with Rogers returning to the film’s present time as an elderly man.
While it’s hard to say whether Marvel will actually have the older version of Steve Rogers pop up in future films, there may be references to him in the upcoming Falcon and Winter Solider TV show coming to Disney+.
