Houston new venue for Korean Festival
Are you a fan of K-pop, Korean culture and Korean food and happen to reside in Houston, Texas? If so, then you are in luck because a fun-filled festival is coming your way!
Houston has welcomed festivals centered on cultures from around the world for years. But next month, the Korean Festival Houston is taking place and will feature lots of dancing, food, music, and more.
The Korean Festival has been taking place for the last 10 years, and this year, they’re expecting over 40,000 attendees. On Saturday, October 5 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Discovery Green will be taken over for all things Korean. To make things even better, it’s completely free to get into!
Also known as KFest, the free cultural event will showcase have authentic Korean eats and drinks, performances with JC Park announced as a co-headliner and lots of K-pop dancing.
The festival will begin from 10 a.m., which means attendees will be eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner of their dreams. The Korean Festival Houston is being hosted by the Korean American Society of Houston and is partnering with dozens of global and local sponsors.
According to the festival’s website, “since its inception in 2009, the Korean festival has become one of the largest free cultural events hosted at Discovery Green in Downtown Houston, drawing tens of thousands of visitors to its cultural presentation and culinary experience.”
The event will be taking place at 1500 McKinney St, Houston, Texas 77056.
