Lil Nas X stars in new music video playing all the cast roles
Within three days, more than 32 million people have watched the latest music video ‘Montero’ by Lil Nas X featuring the artist as several different characters while falling from grace. Lil Nas X enlisted a master makeup artist to transform him into several characters including the devil himself and commemorates the new spicy music video with a limited edition collection of Nike Air Max ’97.

The limited-edition MSCHF x Lil Nas X Satan Shoes are a pair of black sneakers with red liquid embellishments containing 66cc of ink and 1 drop of human blood. The limited collection only offers 666 pairs that are individually numbered and a text embellishment ‘Luke 10:18’ referencing his inspiration for the ‘Montero’ music video with the scripture reading, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”
The shoes have stirred controversy for featuring a gold pentagram over the laces and a stitched pentagram in the shoe of the shoes. Lil Nas X has received criticism over the music video and commemorative sneakers in which he responded with his version of an apology video on his YouTube channel.

Lil Nas X addresses critics, “I see everyone talking about these shoes and I just want to come forward and say…” then cuts away to the most controversial moment of the spicy music video while dancing with the devil. It seems the artist is standing behind his music and fashion collaboration.
