You’re favorite devilish TV show is coming back for final season
Sadly, it is the end of another great show, but at least Lucifer will be going out with a bang. “Lucifer,” a show about the fallen angel and Lord of Hell who moves to LA, opens a nightclub and becomes a sexy crime-fighting devil, was originally canceled by Fox, but picked up and saved by Netflix for a fourth season.
We’re thrilled that Lucifer fans around the world have embraced this series on Netflix, and we can’t wait to give them the big finish they’ve all been waiting for,” Netflix said in a statement to Deadline.
Senior executive producers Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson said, “We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms. Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come!!”
The premiere date for Season 5 of “Lucifer” has not been announced yet. “Lucifer” previously aired on Fox for its first three seasons, before Netflix picked the show up for its fourth season in early May.
The show stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer and Lauren German as Lucifer’s one true love Detective Chole Decker as well as Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro and D.B. Woodside.
