Thor will be joined by characters from “Guardians of the Galaxy”
Marvel revealed the fourth installment of the Thor franchise for “Thor: Love and Thunder” with stars from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ for a new crossover adventure. “Thor: Love and Thunder” will feature a reprising cast from the Marvel universe including Chris Hemsworth as Thor as well as “Guardian of the Galaxy” stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord and Karen Gillan as Nebula.

The fourth “Thor” film will also be directed by Taika Waititi following “Thor: Ragnarok” in 2017 who has a great relationship with the Marvel universe creating unique action films with a touch of comedy. The “Thor: Love and Thunder” production will also be consulting with “Guardian of the Galaxy” director James Gunn for a collaboration of the two Marvel franchises.
Production principal photos of Hemsworth playing Thor and Pratt as Star-Lord confirm that they’re currently filming while indicating the upcoming 2022 release date. Hemsworth was recently spotted in Australia prior to the principal photoshoot earlier this week.

The remaining cast has yet to be confirmed but another star from “Guardians of the Galaxy” Dave Bautista hinted that he will be in the upcoming movie reprising his role as Drax. “Thor: Love and Thunder” will also be featuring more characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU.)
Natalie Portman is rumored to be appearing in the upcoming movie as the Goddess of Thunder, Jane Foster, and Tessa Thompson is set to reprise her role as Valkyrie. “Thor: Love and Thunder” will also serve as the debut of a new MCU villain Gorr the God Butcher played by Christian Bale and MCU hints he will be appearing in upcoming Marvel movies.
“Thor: Love and Thunder” is the only Marvel movie featuring characters from multiple MCU franchises in Phase 4. Marvel will feature limited crossover movies during Phase 4 confirming “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” will feature Scarlet Witch played by Elizabeth Olsen and “Spider-Man: Homecoming 3” will feature Doctor Strange played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
