Rihanna confirms she won’t be the new Poison Ivy
Robert Pattinson has been cast to play the suave Bruce Wayne/dark knight Batman in the new upcoming big screen film, but the next question is, who will play the bad guys? Some characters have been rumored, but there are no set details as to who Batman will face off with in the forthcoming film.
One of those rumors was the idea of Rihanna playing Poison Ivy, but the singer and actress quickly shut that down saying that nothing is happening.
The rumor started from an Instagram post where Rihanna compared a piece of her new clothing line to the Batmobile. Many fans took this is as small reveal, combining the post with the fact that the singer frequently dyes her hair red. However, Rihanna spoke to Entertainment Tonight, revealed that although she has a love for Batman and Poison Ivy, nothing like that is happening.
“Oh that?! Really? That!? Are you serious? No that has nothing to do with Poison Ivy,” Rihanna said in a statement. “That [post] has to do a lot with Batman [because] I have separate obsessions. I have bigger obsession with Poison Ivy, I’m just being honest. And yeah, I died [sic] my hair red because of Uma Thurman in the original.
Even though Rihanna shut down the rumors, fans are still hoping and creating fan art of the singer as the sexy villainess.
