Lights. Camera. Earth-shattering explosion.
If you have been paying attention to recent film news, then you will be aware of the hype and smashing success of the latest installment in the James Bond juggernaut, Spectre. The return of Agent 007 has not only catapulted the franchise into the spotlight for its stunning cars and leading men and women but also the totally lit explosion sequence.
The James Bond 007 Facebook announced on Tuesday that the Guinness World Records crowned the fiery production in Spectre as the Largest Film Stunt Explosion of all time.
SPECTRE has been awarded a Guinness World Records title for the Largest Film Stunt Explosion. The explosion was filmed in Erfoud, Morocco and used 8418 litres of fuel and 33kg of explosives.

The video documenting the record-holding explosion details 8,140 liters of kerosene and 24 charges were used to create the ground-breaking scene. Moreover, each individual explosive contained a micro computer to really nail the detonations.
So it seems the shaken over stirred preference transcends to James Bond’s taste in pyrotechnics, too. “Shocking. Positively shocking.”
