New Star Wars series is only gaining popularity
In the short amount of time since the debut of “The Mandalorian” on Disney’s new streaming service, the show has become the #1 TV show not only on Disney+ but in the world. And there have only been four episodes that released so far!
Parrot Analytics, which measures “demand expressions” or a “standardized TV demand measurement unit that reflect the desire, engagement, and viewership of a series weighted by importance,” as described by Business Insider, found that “The Mandalorian” beat out Netflix’s “Stranger Things” as the top streamed show in the United States.
“Demand expressions” show that the new Disney+ show was even in more demand than “Game of Thrones” and “The Crown.”
Taking into account that Disney+ is not even available everywhere yet – so far it is only available in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, the Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand – and “The Mandalorian” is still considered to be the top show worldwide, it goes to show how in-demand the streaming service is as well as its original Star Wars series.
Disney+ is not scheduled to launch in the U.K., Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and other Western European Countries until March 31, 2020.
Have you seen “The Mandalorian” yet? If so, what are your thoughts on Baby Yoda?
