As the colder weather starts to creep in, boots start to make their comeback and scarves are a staple once more, it’s hard not to daydream of the perfect island getaway. This hotel off the coast of Tanzania is all of that and more.
The Manta Resort on Pemba Island offers you the chance of a lifetime…you can have your own floating hut in the water, complete with an underwater room. Once you take a taxi to the hotel, you hop on a small boat to get to the much anticipated underwater room.
The floating structure has three levels to it…a deck up top where you can get the perfect suntan or gaze at the stars, the main floor complete with a kitchen, living room and bathroom, and of course, the underwater bedroom. For $1500 a night, you can watch the marine life swim by as you drift off to sleep.
