We all needed Lin-Manuel Miranda freestyle rapping about everyday annoyances

Lin-Manuel Miranda just keeps cementing himself as 2016’s saving grace.

Ellen DeGeneres could have given Miranda literally any topic to freestyle rap about on her show this week. And for some reason, she chose ordinary, everyday annoyances, like people not saying thank you when you hold the door open, and when your phone wants you to update the software yet again.

“And so I just get so fed up/I switch to a Samsung/and the thing just blows up,” is a line he literally made up on the spot.

Thank you for existing this week, Lin. We really needed this.
