Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty Show Celebrates Womanhood

When a woman thinks of bras and underwear, they’re generally presented on supermodels with six packs wearing push-up bras and heels. But Rihanna is championing that standard with her new lingerie line.

Rihanna celebrated women of every shape, size and color at this year’s New York Fashion Week with a breathtaking and empowering presentation of her Savage x Fenty lingerie collection. The show was live streamed on Youtube and championed inclusivity and diversity by featuring women of all races and body sizes. The show celebrated women and sisterhood through dance performances, symbolic choreography, and a theatrical display.

When Rihanna launched her Savage x Fenty brand this past spring, she made sure the lingerie was made for women of all body types. Her fashion show reflected the brand’s representation and needless to say, fans love it.

Plus-size models and girls with pink hair shared the runway with Joan Smalls and both Hadid sisters. As for the fashion, the models wore everything soft pajamas to underwear garments, which came in every shape, color and size

Later that night, the Barbadian superstar stepped out in a figure-hugging brown dress and sunglasses, smiling and waving to the crowd that packed into the Brooklyn Naval Yard.
