The iconic soft drink is now getting an older sibling in the offered beverage line, introducing their first alcoholic soft drink Lemon-Do.
The new lemon-flavored alcoholic soft beverage will be available with three, five, and seven percent alcohol.
The new beverage is only available in Japanese markets to compete with other alcoholic sodas, using a combination of flavored carbonated water and grain-based alcohol. The popularity of these drinks are cheaper alternatives to beer while offering more flavor choices.
The new Coca-Cola product is still in testing and is offered only in some parts of Japan. This also doesn’t exactly mean that Coca-Cola will be looking to widely-offer alcohol in the future.
