Having the best trip at Universal Studios
Parks are starting to partially reopen after months of being shuttered down due to the pandemic. So many people have been itching to get back into the fun and excitement of Florida’s theme parks, and finally, after being closed from mid-March to early June, Universal Orlando’s theme parks are open once again.
But Islands of Adventures and Universal Studios isn’t quite like it used to be. There are fewer people allowed inside the parks, rows, and seats on rides are left purposefully empty, and the social distance of six feet still holds strong.
But while there are some differences to get used to, here are some tips to make the most out of your trip and make a quieter trip to Universal much more memorable and enjoyable.
Spend the entire day exploring The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
With fewer crowds and screaming children, that means there’s more room to walk, more opportunities to discover magical nooks and crannies and less waiting times to get a mug or five of Butterbeer. The rides at both parks are loads of fun, but stepping into Diagon Alley at Universal, Hogsmeade at Islands, and the Hogwarts Express really makes the books come alive. There’s so much to do, see and discover at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter that one could easily spend the entire day there.
Wear a face-covering, but make it fun
A standard face-covering may not be the most comfortable to wear on a hot day at a theme park, and they’re certainly not fashionable. But the theme parks require guests to wear them, so rules must be followed.
To make the most out of a theme park trip that requires a face mask, try wearing a face-covering that makes a statement. Whether you’re repping your Hogwarts House or favorite Marvel superhero, be fashionably fun with the face mask. It’ll make for cuter photos too!
Dress cute for all the photo ops
Fewer crowds mean less opportunity for people to come out in the background of your perfect Instagram photo. That means more opportunity to get that picture-perfect pose in front of the Universal Studios Orlando Globe or among the colorful Truffla trees in Seuss Landing.
So, dress cute, and wear that matching face mask and snap that pic for the ‘gram! These small but great tips will help make the most out of your return to Universal Orlando as everyone adjusts to the “new normal.”
