Only 5 days left! This Saturday, the documentary "TINA" will be released. I am so excited to share this movie with you – seeing the concert scenes made me relive some of the proudest moments of my life. I simply had to sing along and dance around my living room! #TinaFilm pic.twitter.com/sIGXgdzyb1

The first act will showcase Turner’s life before fame featuring a portrait of childhood neglect and horrific spousal abuse during her first marriage with her collaborator Ike Turner that was portrayed in the 1993 film “What’s Love Got to Do with It.” The second act will feature a joyous journey of creative success, personal liberation, and public adoration.
“Tina” will be led by two Oscar-winning filmmakers T.J. Martin and Dan Lindsay who have worked together in the past co-directing “Undefeated” (2011) and “LA 92” (2017). Martin and Lindsay extensively interviewed Turner to build the remarkable documentary celebrating one of the few Black women in rock music.

The Broadway musical and “Tina” documentary are said to be Tina Turner’s farewell to public life according to her husband as she will be focusing more of her time on living a private life. Shortly after the debut of the Broadway musical, the global COVID-19 pandemic shuttered theater doors. Tina Turner hinted she wanted to focus more on having a private life when she retired from the stage in 2009 but Tina could choose to come back to the entertainment industry in a couple of years.
The new documentary will premiere on March 27 on HBO that will reveal more about Tina Turner than ever before.
