Pixar's Mesmerizing Use of Color Showcased in a Supercut

While Pixar’s method of telling stories has been heavily explored, not much has been said about the computer-animation film studio’s use of color.

This supercut by Vimeo user Rishi Kaneria reveals Pixar’s amazing color designs — all hidden in plain sight.

The video is less about the colors of Pixar’s iconic characters than the way the studio covers entire scenes in specific shades and tones to convey different emotions. It’s an effect that is meant to go unnoticed, and often does.
