Screen Tests: Javier Bardem

You probably recognize this acting buff from his role in the Coen Brothers’ film, “No Country For Old Men,” where he played the psychotic traveling murderer. That role propelled him even mores into the spotlight, and also won him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

The Spanish actor is known for his image as one of Hollywood’s greatest villains, yet ironically enough, is not a fan of violence. Bardem recently told GQ Magazine that he, “can’t stand violence.”

“From a young age I couldn’t stand violence,” Bardem told GQ. “I can’t even watch it.”

Well, Penélope Cruz’s hubby may not be a fan of violence, but we are a fan of his ‘violent’ work as a villain. Look out for him in his most recent film with Jennifer Lawrence, “mother!”
