Street artist goes aerial with graffiti drone

Hard- to-reach areas are no longer safe from tech-savvy graffiti artists.

Brooklyn-based artist KATSU is known for pushing the limits, and this time he finally tested out his flying graffiti machine on a Calvin Klein Jeans advertisement in Manhattan on Wednesday morning, blasting red paint all over Kendall Jenner’s face. The ad is located on the corner of Lafayette St. and Houston St., a high-traffic shopping area.

KATSU unveiled his spray paint-wielding drone last year, where he told Motherboard, “I thought, ‘I could go out into the city and spray paint using a drone wherever I wanted to, in basically unreachable spots and in unusable areas.’”

Update, May 1, 2015, 12:03 p.m. ET: According to Instagram user Jay Goldman, the billboard has already been replaced.
