Some of the hottest outdoor concerts and music festivals are held during the hottest time of the year. Here’s a list of things you need to know before you depart on your next journey to music mania.
Tents
If this is a 3-4 day outdoor outing, and you’re planning on bringing a tent, make sure it’s big enough to fit all of your personal items and you. Never pitch your tent at the bottom of a hill (in case it rains) or near the latrines (because, ew). If the weather gets bad and windy, don’t hesitate to pack it up ASAP.
Portable Charger
Bring one! This is going to be the most important item you pack if you wish to say connected and document how much of a blast you’ll be having to all of your friends. It’ll be a bummer if you go to get a picture of your favorite artist and your battery dies.
Cash
Make sure you withdraw an excess of what you might think you need, since ATMs will be scarce and lines will be long. Never store all of your money in one area. If you lose that one item, or someone takes it, you’ll be left for broke for the rest of the festival.
Sunscreen
Don’t wait until you feel the burn to apply that sunscreen. You’re going to need it, and if you’re burnt early, the rest of your trip will be very uncomfortable. Also, keep drinking water to stay hydrated under the beating sun.
Make sure you’re having a blast while also being smart, because music festivals can be a once in a lifetime opportunity, and you don’t wanna waste it because you were unprepared.
