For some women, regular yoga classes and weight lifting just don’t cut it.
One woman has established a prominent career lifting different weights with her vagina. Dubbing her strengthening craft, “Vagina Kung Fu,” Kim Anami promotes her exercises as both a method for females to stay active, as well as improve overall sexual health.
Kim started a new project in the past year titled “Things I Lift With My Vagina,” which has its own attached hashtag in Instagram. The self-appointed guru has also relayed her speciality into a series of classes that promise to strengthen and tone in more ways than one.
“When I’m considering objects to lift, I aim to find pieces that are indigenous to the local region and culture,” Kim told Mashable via email, when asked about her motivation behind her global locations and worldly weights. “For example, I’ve lifted gluten-free, coconut-sugar sweetened, organic donuts … in LA.; In Bali, I’ve lifted a green coconut, mangos and a pineapple; In Venice, Italy, I lifted a Murano glass chandelier in the Piazza San Marco.”
“I was inspired by the traveling gnome meme and a playful, provocative and creative way to bring attention to the power that every woman has between her legs, ” she said.
Kim also made a video dedicated to her special craft, in which she details practicing her special lifting skills fives times a week with varied weight amounts.
