Before the lights even went out at the 2026 Thai GP, MotoGP’s biggest stars strapped into something a little slower and a lot funnier: TUK-TUKS.
Saturday’s qualifying order set the grid, so Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín led the pack away on their Aprilia rickshaw. From there it was chaos on three wheels.
Toprak Razgatlıoğlu and Jack Miller started popping wheelies before the race had even officially begun. Marc Márquez pulled a Mario Kart move and sprayed water at a rival team mid-overtake. Jorge Martín and Bezzecchi cut clean across the grass to snatch a spot, only to get hit with a “Drop One Position” penalty; MotoGP-style rules apparently apply to tuk-tuks too.
Each team had to swap driver and passenger mid-lap between turns four and five, which somehow made things even messier.
In the end, it was Miller and Razgatlıoğlu who crossed the line first for Pramac Yamaha, 3.5 seconds clear of the field. Bastianini and Viñales took second for Tech3, with Zarco and Moreira rounding out the podium for LCR Honda.
The best part? Grid positions, penalties, wheelies and all, everyone treated it with just enough seriousness to make it genuinely hilarious.
