Beck is back in the saddle with his new single, “Wow.”
This is his first new single since “Dreams” in 2015 that followed up his Grammy-winning album Morning Phase. “Wow” is a danceable track more in the vein of “Dreams” and his ’90s albums before he got all sensitive.
According to the press release, Beck knew he had a single on his hands when his kids and their friends bopped along to the track on playdates while he was working on new music at home.
Beck teased the single on Instagram yesterday, preparing fans for the ride, and has been posting video teasers since then.
Could giddy up be a hint at a new album title?
Beck most recently worked on “Tiny Cities” from Flume’s new album, Skin.
