“Dexter” is making a comeback in 2021
Showtime is celebrating the comeback of the vigilante serial killer “Dexter” with a new limited series with 10 episodes. The original series star Michael C. Hall will be returning along with showrunner Clyde Phillips for the first time since finishing the show in 2013.
Phillips was a showrunner for the first four seasons of “Dexter” and left the show in 2009. This limited series will be apart of Phillip’s new deal with CBS Television Studios and Showtime. Phillips will be an executive producer for the new “Dexter” series along with Michael Hall, Scott Reynolds, John Goldwyn, Bill Carraro, and Sara Colleton.

The new series is scheduled to start filming early next year and premiering in fall 2021. The new series will pick up from the open-ended finale when Dexter goes to live a solitary life as a lumberjack.
Fans have called for a reboot of the show for years as they left the show with an open ending for a possible continuation of the “Dexter” storyline. “Dexter” fans will be excited to see the return of the show in 2021.
