The World’s Largest Tweet was no easy feat
GMC received a lot of media attention after announcing the release of the new Hummer EV but GMC is getting even more attention after creating the World’s Largest Tweet. GMC created the World’s Largest Tweet using track lines created with the new GMC Yukon in the Nevada desert.
GMC attests that creating the World’s Largest Tweet was no easy feat that required special measures including a modified vehicle with traction devices, a closed course, and professional drivers. They also caution people not to try this stunt at home.

After scouting several locations, GMC found the perfect location in Delamar Dry Lake that is a large dry lake bed located in Nevada. The World’s Largest Tweet was only possible with meticulous planning including 110,000 feet of rope to help guide the precision drivers and over 2,500 color-coded stakes hand placed into the ground without the use of GPS to provide the level of accuracy.
This massive stunt also required extensive meetings with the precision drivers as the plan called for the cars to only driving forward and didn’t have the ability to erase any mistake tire marks. The result of this massive stunt is the World’s Largest Tweet can only be captured 12,000 feet above by helicopter.
GMC ensures that they took every precaution to protect the surrounding environment and protecting local wildlife. GMC also restored the land to the natural state it was originally found.
The promo event utilized two new GMC models including the Yukon AT4 and Next Generation Yukon Denali. The new Yukon will offer upgraded features including a 15″ diagonal Heads-Up Display, Active Response 4 Wheel Drive system, nine camera views, best-in-class horsepower, and more.
Though the World’s Largest Tweet was deleted after it’s precise creation, you can check out this social media stunt on Twitter.
