Hilarious 'Activewear' video gets a remix from Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding, singer and actual brand ambassador for Nike’s line of women’s activewear, is the latest person to poke fun at the international addiction to wearing gym clothes for everything except, y’know, exercising.

The original skit, which went viral two weeks ago, is a music video by Australian comedy trio Skit Box that calls out those of us who spend more time at Lorna Jane than the actual gym. Ellie, who was recently in Australia to perform at the Australian Rules Football Grand Final, took the time Down Under to put her own spin on the song.

Speaking to Mashable Australia when they released the original, Skit Box said they fully endorse donning activewear to all events, gatherings and occasions.

“Why wouldn’t ya? It’s comfy, practical, and makes your butt look great plus it’s a great way to look fit and healthy without actually doing anything … conducting your daily business in your activewear gives the appearance that you’re a lot fitter than you are. Perception is 9/10ths of reality!” they said.

It appears Ellie thinks the same way too, as she appeared in a campaign for Nike promoting a new line of activewear that was released at the start of the year. At this rate, the trend will never end.
