Many feminist parents are not allowing their children to watcher certain Disney films based o their portrayal of the Disney princesses, and Keira Knightley is no exception. The British actress, who has starred in the Disney franchise “Pirates of the Caribbean” and is currently promoting her role as the Sugar Plum Fairy from “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, ” recently reveled that two Disney princess movies are banned in her household.
Edie Knightley Righton is not allowed to watch “Cinderella” or “Little Mermaid” Knightley told Ellen DeGeneres.
During the interview, Knightley said that the 1950’s Cinderella “waits around for a rich guy to rescue her. Don’t! Rescue yourself. Obviously!”
When speaking on “The Little Mermaid,” Knightley said: “I mean, the songs are great, but do not give your voice up for a man. Hello! And this is the one that I’m quite annoyed about because I really like the film. I love The Little Mermaid! That one’s a little tricky — but I’m keeping to it.”
Finding Dory, which was voiced by DeGeneres, “is a big favourite” and “Frozen is huge, Moana is totally fine.”

In an interview with “Parenting Magazine,” Bell said that Snow White sends the wrong message about consent to children and how a person cannot “kiss someone if they’re sleeping.”
