Taco Bell Is Launching Chicken Tenders To Compete With Other Fast Food Chains

Taco Bell will start offering chicken tenders in test locations

If you thought the craze for Popeye’s Chicken Sandwich was crazy, things are about to get even crazier, and it’s not even the start of a new year yet! Taco Bell said it would begin testing a new menu item, crispy tortilla chicken tenders, in Houston, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, before launching it nationally next year.

Taco Bell is taking a page out of two of America’s biggest chicken chains – Popeye’s and Chick-fil-A – and stepping into the chicken game in order to compete with the two restaurants. The new menu item is marinated in a jalapeño buttermilk mixture to give them a slightly spicy kick before being coated in tortilla-chip crumbs and served with a new dipping sauce.

The chicken tenders can come in a taco for $2 or get two tenders for $3 or three tenders for $4. The crispy tortilla chicken tenders can also be ordered in the chain’s $5 and $7 boxes.

The chicken craze has been hitting America hard as of late, with many fast-food chains trying to find new and innovative ways to serve up the chicken.

Much like how Popeye’s made waves this year for its chicken sandwich, Taco Bell’s chicken tender taco is expected to cause just as much of a stir in the fast-food world.
