1. Research shows that the ‘perfect’ vacation length is 7-10 days. Your happiness levels tend to peak on day 8, so keep that in mind when planning the length of the trip.
2. Plan an additional day for each timezone you pass.
3. Give yourself a few days pre and post vacation…that way you can get excited before hand, and calm back down and adjust after the fact.
