There are so many blessings and burdens to winning one major. Once the player wins their first major they feel as if they have to raise to a new standard one that isn’t natural to them. There are so many expectations that the person is now putting on themself. There is pressure now from family and sponsors to live up to this new thing and it becomes a negative real quick.
But it can also be positive. Winning a major is a huge accomplishment for anyone to achieve and they should be proud of that. It attracts new sponsors, people who may not have paid too much attention to the golfer before, and so much more. It’s really a way to get your name out there and to warn other golfers to stay alert because anyone can win these majors. Also, if the golfer thinks the major was so out of reach and it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, they may be more excited to say they reached their goal and will be happy enough with that.
