Much to the delight of his many fans, South African comedian Trevor Noah couldn’t contain his excitement after finding out that ‘The Daily Show’ has been nominated for four NAACP Image awards. The Mzansi’s global citizen took to social media to share a video of him counting his amount of nominations, and in the post he wrote: “That excitement after finding out we’ve been nominated for 4 NAACP awards.”
Noah also thanked fans for their continued support.
His show has been recognized in the ‘Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series’, ‘Outstanding Talk Series’ and ‘Outstanding Variety Show’ categories.
The 34-year-old ”The Daily Show” host was also nominated for ‘Outstanding Host in a Talk Show/Series’.
“That excitement after finding out we’ve been nominated for 4 NAACP awards… Thank you so much to everyone who’s been a part of this journey,” Noah tweeted.
This is not the fist time Noah has been recognized for his outstanding work though. His debut book, “Born A Crime,” won two trophies at the 48th NAACP awards in 2017, and he also won ‘Best Host’ at the MTV Movie & TV Awards.
In other news, the box office hit “Black Panther,” in which Noah had a cameo role, dominates nominations for the 50th annual NAACP Image Awards, and being recognized in the outstanding motion picture category.
