All of the romantic gamers’ hearts went aflutter when a wedding chapel in Kobe announced that it would start offering “Final Fantasy”-themed weddings. But if your tastes run toward cuter and fluffier franchises, then perhaps a Pokémon wedding may be of interest to you.
Japanese wedding planning company Escrit, which has venues all across the country, revealed that it could provide the perfect Pokémon themed wedding.
With dozens of chapels in Tokyo, as well as in Osaka, Yokohama, Nagoya, Sendai, and even Okinawa, the package includes place cards, program pamphlets with illustrations of loving Pikachus with their tails poking out from a bed of flowers, a Pikachu-themed cake, as well as a possible appearance of the popular Pokémon mascot itself.
But if you’re still in the planning stages of the wedding, then there is an upcoming Pokémon Bridal Fair, a free event hosted by the Japanese wedding-planning service. The event will feature samples of a variety of desserts, favors, and decorations to dress up the wedding.
Although many fans tend to hold their own Pokémon-themed wedding, this wedding plan offered by Escrit seemed to be the first ever “officially licensed” Pokémon wedding available. Registration for the event takes place Feb. 27, and includes a free gift.
