Marilyn Monroe brought back platinum blonde in the 1950s, and we all remember that era because of her. She was truly a woman of her time. Spray on hair color also made its debut around this time, so women could achieve any striking hair color that they saw in the pictures with a simple press of a hair color can.

Things got a little funky in the 70’s when frosting your tips became a thing of the time. It gave women that sun kissed look, without actually having to step outside…just into a beauty parlor.
