Batman might make a cameo in upcoming Flash film

Talks of Michael Keaton reprising his role as Batman for Warner Bros. upcoming Flash movie has all the fans talking and excited. Keaton starred as Bruce Wayne and the Dark Knight in two of Tim Burton’s Batman films: “Batman” (1989) and the 1992 sequel, “Batman Returns.”

The role was later taken over by Val Kilmer and George Clooney.
Keaton would later play Birdman in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s movie of the same name, and the Vulture in “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” so the realm of superheroes and villains is not a new thing for the Hollywood actor.

Warner Bros.’ stand-alone Flash movie will star Ezra Miller and will be reportedly based on the superhero’s Flashpoint story arc—an alternate timeline story arc that set up the company’s 2011 reboot, known as the New 52. As a result, many are wondering which Batman Keaton would play.

Flashpoint largely took place in an alternate timeline of the DC Universe; Flash had accidentally created this by attempting to travel back in time and stop the evil Eobard Thawne from murdering his mother. As a result, almost every superhero in the DC Universe was different, including the Caped Crusader.

In the Flashpoint timeline, it was the young Bruce Wayne who was killed and his parents left alive. In her grief, Martha Wayne suffered a nervous breakdown and became a version of the Joker, while Thomas Wayne became the Flashpoint timeline’s Batman.

So, it is likely that Keaton would play an older Thomas Wayne as Batman instead of Bruce. Warner Bros. is also producing another Batman film with director Matt Reeves starring Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight.
