The New Summer Swimwear Trend Is Denim

How would feel if you saw someone wearing a denim speedo on the beach? Yay or nay?

An online clothing company called Shinesty is now selling tight denim swim briefs for men as well as a range of fake denim swimsuits for those who cannot part with their jeans when they hit the beach. Shinesty, which prides itself on offering quirky clothing, is selling what it’s calling the Daytona Dong Sarong ‘Jeado’ Swim Briefs, and they have most certainly gone viral for a lot of reasons.

The teeny-tiny male bathing suit may look like a pair of super cut-off jeans, but they are not actually made with denim; instead, they have a very realistic denim print on the front and back. The polyester-spandex blend swim briefs are selling for $39.99 while the shorts cost $59.99.

For women, there is a matching bikini and one-piece swimsuit. The description on the website for the bikini says: “No, this isn’t the love child of Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock – it’s a Daytona Jeankini that was birthed smack dab in the middle of the Daytona 500.” The one-piece swimsuit costs $59.99, while the bikini top costs $49.99 and the bottoms cost $29.99.
