“The Little Mermaid Live!” is coming sooner than you think
“The Little Mermaid Live!” is Coming to ABC Tuesday, Nov. 5, so get ready to sing along!
In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Disney film from under the sea, The Wonderful World of Disney and ABC will be presenting a live musical event showcasing “The Little Mermaid.”
A teaser trailer as released, giving a first look at Auli’i Cravalho, Queen Latifah, and Shaggy who will star as Ariel, Ursula and Sebastian in the live production, respectively. John Stamos will also reprise his role as the eccentric French cook Chef Louis after his masterful performance in the Hollywood Bowl production of “The Little Mermaid.” Graham Phillips, known for his work on “The Good Wife,” will play Prince Eric.
Th special tribute to the original animated classic and its iconic music will take viewers on a magical adventure under the sea, intertwining a hybrid format that will feature beautifully intricate sets and costumes, with music from the original animated film and Broadway stage version, originally composed by Oscar-winning composer, Alan Menken.
“The Little Mermaid Live!” is being produced by Done+Dusted. Also executive producing is Richard Kraft, producer and director of the highly acclaimed Hollywood Bowl productions of “The Little Mermaid” and “Beauty and the Beast.”
