Banana Milk Is The Latest Dairy-Free Milk Alternative

We’ve cycled through soy milk, learned to love almond milk, and recently embraced oat milk. It’s now time to make way for another vegan milk alternative: banana milk.

High in potassium, vitamin B6 and pectin, banana milk is nutritious and full of filling fiber. Some may even argue that it tastes like a delicious sweet treat, especially for those who have tried the Korean banana milk. Needless to say, banana milk isn’t a new idea; Banana Wave launched in 2013 and Mooala Bananamilk hit shelves in 2016.

However, the beverage has been tame in popularity.

Banana milk has a light, sweet flavor and actually tastes like its main ingredient — bananas. Mooala’s Original blend features cinnamon, sea salt, plus sunflower seed butter and has no added sugar, so each cup has just 60 calories and 3 grams of sugar.

While its fruity flavor might not make it the best choice for your morning coffee, banana milk does offer a pleasant and healthy upgrade to cereal, smoothies, oats, and more.

Bananas are an energizing fruit that is especially great as a pre or post-workout snack. They can reduce muscle fatigue and fight off cramps and are very gentle on an unsettled stomach, so banana milk can actually be a great alternative for those who have trouble consuming a traditional breakfast.
