Marvel Sets All The Rumors ‘Black Panther’ Sequel Straight
“Black Panther 2” is officially in the works and fans could not be more excited to see their beloved Wakandan king return to the big screen. The sequel was announced shortly after the first film became a blockbuster hit, but many fans were left to wonder when production would actually begin.
Luckily, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has let fans in on a little bit of information.
One huge rumor that has been making its way around the Internet is the rumor that Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) would somehow be resurrected for the sequel.
“The honest answer to that is that is pure rumor and speculation because (director) Mr. (Ryan) Coogler is just only in recent weeks sitting down at his keyboard and beginning to outline the movie. It’s early, so nothing is set yet in any way that far,” Feige said in an interview with BET.
While this is not an outright denial that Jordan would reprise his role, but because production is in the very early stages, it is still too early to tell where the story will go and who will return for the sequel.
A date for “Black Panther 2” has yet to be announced, but the wait should not be too long as many think it will be as early as next year. Marvel will, however, reveal its post-Endgame “Five-Year Plan” later this month at San Diego Comic-Con International.
