Nickelodeon Brings Back ‘Blue’s Clues’
Nickelodeon has confirmed that the classic kids show “Blues Clues” is getting a reboot., and everyone’s adorable friend Blue will have a brand new title and a new host!
The show will run under the new title “Blues Clues & You” and will feature Joshua Dela Cruz as beloved host Steve, according to a press release.
“The search for the new host of Blue’s Clues & You was no small task, but we knew as soon as we met Josh that he was the perfect choice,” said Shelly Sumpter Gillyard, Executive Vice President, Talent, Music and Events, Nickelodeon Group. “From his genuineness to his comedic timing and range, there was no doubt that he could carry the show on for the next generation of preschoolers.”
Dela Cruz recently played Aladdin’s understudy in the Broadway production of Disney’s Aladdin. His other roles include CBS’ “Bull and ABC’s “Time After Time,” according to the press release
Dela Cruz also took to his Instagram to announce the exciting news, writing: “Wait I’m how old?” 30 never felt so good. I can’t believe I’m fortunate enough to be able to do what I love for a living. Thank you to my family, friends, teachers and my darlings @amandaplease4567 and Ollie for the constant Love, Patience, and Faith. I wouldn’t be who I am without you. Have a great day today and try to make someone smile.”
The company says the reboot will premiere in November.
