After four years of infertility struggles and a previous failed adoption, North Hollywood, California, couple, Lacey Farris and her husband, Banks recently adopted a baby girl named Finley.
The couple wanted to announce their huge news in a meaningful way, so they decided to surprise friends and family members by showing up at their doors with their new daughter.
As if that wasn’t heartwarming enough, they then recorded the initial reactions of loved ones and created an emotional, touching video which they shared to YouTube.
Farris told ABC News that she and her husband visited relatives and friends all over the country in just three days.
“My husband’s family lives in Alabama and Tennessee and mine is in Arizona. And we live in California,” she said. “Since we were in Georgia, we figured it would be effort, but if we took her around to show up to everyone’s house…”
Though the family originally posted the video to share the wonderful news with their Facebook friends, the raw and genuine emotions from their loved ones ended up gaining adoration from people everywhere.
“We’re overwhelmed by the amount of support and love we’ve gotten from strangers,” Farris told ABC News.

Farris also shared that the family made the video with Finley in mind.
“We wanted to make sure she viewed her adoption not as something that was weird or taboo, but we wanted it to be just part of who she is,” she told ABC News. “We wanted her adoption to be part of her life and part of her story.”
Mashable has reached out to the Farris family for comment and will update this article when we receive a response.
